What I've learned

This semester we have learned several different websites and programs in order to use and manage our internet more effectively. Sites like delicious which save our bookmarks and google docs which allows us to save and share files like word docs and powerpoints online.

We have learned about html coding and built our own website from scratch using iweb, and uploaded it using fetch to our athene account on the CSU server.

In all MPI104 taught me to use the internet efficiently and to build a website for myself.

(Plus Damian is a really cool teacher :p)

FTP

"File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used to copy a file from one host to another over a TCP/IP-based network, such as the Internet. FTP is built on a client-server architecture and utilizes separate control and data connections between the client and server applications which solves the problem of different end host configurations (i.e. Operating System, file names).[1] FTP is used with user-based password authentication or with anonymous user access.

FTP has no encryption tools meaning all transmissions are in clear text; user names, passwords, FTP commands and transferred files can be read by anyone sniffing on the network. This is a problem common to many Internet protocol specifications written prior to the creation of SSL, such as HTTP, SMTP and Telnet[2]. The common solution to this problem is to use either SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol), or FTPS (FTP over SSL), which adds SSL or TLS encryption to FTP as specified in RFC 4217." -Wikipedia

My New Animation

Okey Dokey,

Here's an update on my next assignment, a 1-3 minute animation!

It is basically about a fish that can't fit in with the others, sounds lame I know but it has a LOT of detail in the story line that gives it real depth (Fish, water, ocean. get it?) haha, lame.

Anyway here are some tests I did

Walk Cycle Update

So my eyes slammed open EARLY this morning to my alarm and I totally hated life, cause I'm getting up to finish off my walkcycle.

Here is an update, though I have changed a few things and fixed up some others.

Problems with Cloning

The biggest problem with cloning yourself is that the clone holds the exact same opinions as you, so don't get it to do anything you wouldn't!

Like my friend Patrick Mazzolo- a fellow moderator over at Video Copilot who got tired of banning spammers. He tried to get his clone to do it for him.

Enjoy! =)

Have to walk before you can run

So I have been working flat out on my walk cycle which I MIGHT have left a bit too late.

Here is a still frame, It is still very rough but the animation is good.

Week 4

Ok, so today we were playing with Flickr, delicious and a few other things.

Flickr is pretty cool and has some nice features like geotagging, though it can be a little unintuitive to navigate the site- most notably in the profile and account sections.

Here is my Flickr Profile, I joined a group devoted to Adobe After Effects and favourited a photo taken at my local beach.

Here are some photos I uploaded, they are from a project that I have been working on for the last year; Star wars: Threads of Destiny (www.threadsofdestiny.se)
